"the song with enchanting and romantic lyrics about a love where you really want it to work. the lyrics take many sets of opposites and compare them to the relationship between a man and a woman. they emphasize on the fact that people have to fight for what’s important to them and if two people truly love each other they will find a way to be together no matter the differences between them.
another thing the song is trying to say that if two people don’t work on their relationship they might eventually become opposites and they won’t be able to be together anymore because of the distance between them — physical or emotional. but he doesn’t want this to happen to their relationship so he looks at other relationship and sees how they fell apart and tries to learn from their mistakes. in this song he’s trying to convince her that they aren’t like the other couples who broke up because their relationship is different and they are really putting their hearts into it."
